CAMILLE ANN GREY
[/color]They turn the lights down low,
In shadows hiding from the world,
Only coming out when it gets cold
The seas part when they hit the floor,
The voices carry on and out the door
And everything you touch turns into gold
Like the angel you are you laugh creating,
A lightness in my chest,
Your eyes they penetrate me,
(your answers always maybe)
Thats when I got up and left.

Before he went to go sit down, Matt spotted the way Lena had clenched her fists. He ignored it, though, not really noticing how quickly she had turned around and went to the bathroom. If he did notice, he would never say anything. He just assumed that she might have been embarrassed that he had said that when she was only wearing a towel. He really did want her to know that he thought she was beautiful, though, which is why he always reminded her. Not that her beauty was the whole reason why he liked her, but it was what got him interested in her. He wasn't going to lie, the first day that he saw her walk into his classroom, he thought that she was hot. That's when he started to get to know that she was a helpful kind of person, and that's what really changed his whole attitude towards school and life. He never told her that, though. He assumed that it would be a corny thing to say and something awkward to bring up when they were doing so well. He never wanted an awkward moment with Lena, ever. He knew it would have to happen some time, but he just hated awkward moments. He didn't really have much experience with relationships, though. Yeah, he had a girlfriend here and there, but not a serious one. They were usually just pretty faces, because he never got to know a girl that was out of his social circle. The girls that actually had personality. So, this was his first relationship that he had with someone that was interesting to him and that made him so happy, he wished he could shout it out to the world. He couldn't, though. He couldn't tell people that he was with her, even though he'd like to. He wanted to show people that Lena made him the happiest he's been in a while. Even his grandmother noticed that he was acting a lot more happy, but he never told her anything about him and Lena. It broke his heart to keep something this special from her, but he had to do what he had to do to stay this happy.
Matthew patiently tapped his fingers on the desk, murmuring a small tune that was stuck in his head. The song wasn't the usual song that was heard on the radio a lot, so most people wouldn't recognize it. The song was called If I Fell by The Beatles. Lately, Matt had been listening to older artists. They had a lot more knowledge about the feelings he had towards Lena, and they had a very good way with words. Matt was about to actually start singing the words quietly, but he decided that it might be a bad idea. He wasn't the best singer, and he didn't want her to think that he was a weirdo singing to himself. He did start to wonder what she was doing in the bathroom, but he just told himself that she was a girl, and girls take a lot longer than guys to get ready. He didn't see why she had to take long to get ready, though. Matt was already impressed with her, and he swore that she couldn't be more appealing to himself than she was already. She was perfect and amazing and spectacular to him, he couldn't deny it. He was very passionate about the things he liked, and he would fight hard for something that he cared about greatly. Like the environment, animals, his grandmother and, of course, Lena. He wanted her to feel as comfortable and safe with him, and he hoped she knew that. He never told her things like this, though. Again, he'd think she'd just think he was corny and find that unattractive or something. When Matt spotted her, that sheepish grin replaced the serious expression he pulled off when he was trying to understand what he was doing. He actually did get the basics, but adding angles and random exponents into the equation was messing him up. Adding algebra to geometry was always a struggle for Matt.
The college sophomore was about to respond, but then also heard the timer go off. So he was right, there was food here. He watched as she walked into the kitchen, admiring her for.. well, everything. She could cook, keep her house tidy, she was smart and she made time in her day for the young Matthew Bean with all of her school stuff. There was a faint scent of chicken that grew a bit when he guessed that she had just taken it out of the oven. He then realized just how hungry he was, but he didn't want to say anything. He'd just wait to see if she offered any to him. He'd gladly take it, though. She was an amazing cook. As she sat down near Matt, his heart skipped a beat. It did that everytime that she got close to him. He leaned back a bit, allowing her to see the notebook more. "You know when I was a junior, and we started putting exponents into the volume and stuff for like, the angles?" Matt asked, raising an eyebrow. He pointed to the text book where it showed a question that he had to do for homework. "Well, that's what they're reviewing and putting in random algebra." He added with a small frown, setting his pencil down. He really wanted to just forget about math and fail, just so he could spend more time with Lena, but then that would mean more school work and a waste of money. Plus, math was a good excuse to get over to her house and spend time with her. Then it wouldn't be so frightening asking her if he could come over once and a while. He pulled his chair closer to the table, resting his elbow on the surface and holding his chin up with his palm. He let out a small sigh, really hating this math right now.
His eyes traveled up at the same time hers did. He smirked slightly and glanced back down at his paper, hoping that his cheeks didn't turn a pale pink. His light skin always showed when he was only a bit embarrassed. He held in a breath when he felt her fingers against his arm, liking the feeling that she gave him when she touched him just slightly like she did then. After she finished speaking, his smirk turned into more of a smile as he heard her laugh. If her voice wasn't enough to make him melt, her laugh would do the trick. "We should eat first, since I'm kind of starving. I forgot to eat before I got here." Matt confessed. He thought if they studied first, then ate, the night would pretty much end there. If they ate then studied, then he could drag on the studying a bit longer. He didn't want to do it together because then they would really get to talk and have a nice dinner together. It would be like a date at a restaurant, something they could never do. "Plus, in the back of my mind I was hoping to get some of your cooking. You always make yummy food." Matt said with a devilish look in his eyes. Of course, he had only tried some things that she made here and there, but what he did have was quite good. He was getting more excited for this night every second that passed. He wanted to make her feel like a million dollars, in stead of giving it to her. That was probably the cheesiest thing he thought up, though, so he was definitely going to keep that to himself. He leaned forward and set the tips of his fingers on hers, looking into her eyes with a a nice, happy, genuine smile.
