··I'M MOMENTS FROM LANDING AND SHAKING LIKE A HEART ATTACK··
,, I'VE MADE MISTAKES IN THE PAST ; CAN'T TAKE IT BACK, WISH I COULD SET THINGS RIGHT TONIGHT
Waking up two hours earlier then you should be isn't exactly the best way to start a day, and sadly it was exactly how Austin's was starting as his cell started ringing. A groan broke past Austins lips as he turned and buried his head into his pillow just hoping his cell woudl magically stop ringing and that he could just fall back asleep. But the person that was calling him seemed to have a differnet idea and just continued ringing him for five minutes, in the end Austin had no choice but to reach and and grab his cell fromt he table next to his bed. When he hit the answer call button, Austin lazily brought the cellt o hsi ear and forwned slightly as he realized that it was just a voicemail and he groaned hitting the end call button and dropping the cell somewhere near the edge of his bed. Perosnally Austin didn't get why any one would call someone before ten ona s aturday it was a stupid idea and now that he was awake Austin knew he wasn't going to be able to fall back asleep. As he stood up from his bed, Austin stretched out his arms before pushing some of his messy blonde hair from his eyes. Austin stumbled his way to the bathroom, trying to shak the sleep from his head as he turned the taps on for the shower, he wandered if he'd planned to do anything today, but was pretty sure that he hadn't. Austin sighed softly to himself before stepping intot ehs hower letting the hot water blast away the last of the sleep that ahd been clouding his mind.
After the shower Austin made his way back into his room and squinted slightly as his eyes adjusted to the sunlight that flodded into hsi room when he puleld the curtains back. Looking otuside Austin guessed that at least the sun was shining kind of made the day little better and still he was trying to figure out a way to actually spend the day seemign as he hadn't actually made any plans until the evening when he intended to go to some big party. Wandering over to his wardrobe and rummaged aroudn in it for a moment fidning some clean clothes, then he quickly pulled them on and forwned slightly as he ran ahand through hsi still damp hair. Luckily for him hsi hair ried pretty straight jsut the ends flicking out a little, so Austin jsut left it to do its own thign to day, he woudl admitt some days he did straigthen his hair but then ti wasn't so strange these days for a guy to do that. Droppign back down on hsi bed for a moment, austin retrivved a pair of shoes from the side of his bed and slipped them on, before leaning round and grabbign cell from were it was resting jsut ont he edge. He texted back the friend that ahd rung him telling them to never ring him before ten on a satruday ever again. Slippign hsi cell itno hsi back pcoket, Austing ot back up adn headed out of his room and down stairs to the ktichen to get himself some breakfast. He looked intot he kitchena nd saw that his parents were already gone for the weekend, he wasn't to sure where they had gone this time they didn't really often tell him jsut left a note saying they'd gone hiking not that Austin minded so much gave hima free hosue for the weekend, no having to expalin why he's stumbling in drunk at a random tiem in the morning.
Austin took the box of lucky charms and managed to locate a bowl and poured some in before retiriving th emil fromt he fridge and sitting himself at the breakfast counter. He flicked through the magazie that had been left ont he breakfast coutner as he ate the cereal, he wasn't to sure what to do with hsi day still eh was wadnering whether or not he shoudl text someoen and see if they wanted to meet up but that would involve effort on hsi aprt and right now Austin didn't have enough enegry to do anythign that involved to much effort. Lookig down at the empty bowl Austinf rowned slightyl and then put the bowl in the diswasher before wandering to the living room and turning the tv on flickign it to one of the channels that hsowed cartoons liek all the time. He laughed slightyl when spogebob square pants came on he couldn't remmeebr the last time he ahd watched it. Spongebob managed to keep Austin entertained for an hour or so before they started repeating the same episodes again and they weren't exactly all that funny the thrid tiem round, lookign out the window Austing uessed he coudl jsut drive to emerald cafe and at least get himself a good cup of coffee, and he kne wa lot fo peopel turned up at th eafe through otu the day so he might be lucky and find someone to kill some time with.
Killign Spongebo, Austin stood up fromt he couch and wandered out into the hallway and to the samll table were his car keys were. He checked his wallet and cell were in his pcokets before heading outside to his car. Slipping down intot he car, Austin turned the key in the ignition bringing the engine roaring to life as he closed his door. It wasn't really a long drive to emerald, but traffic was pretty bad and Austin got a little impaitent after awhile, but soon he was pulling hsi car into a free parking space down the road from were the emrald was. Locking the door, Austin stepped onto the pavement, his bright blue eyes looked around for a moment before he started walking toward the cafe. His hand apssed through his blonde hair again brining it away from hsi eyes, before he reached the cafe and hsi arm reached out pushing th edoor open. He held it open for the peopel that were leaving before hs tepped inside. Walking up tot he counter, Austin falshed the girl behidn the cunter a bright smile and told her she looekd pretty today, just his natural flirt kicking in already. He ordered a black coffee and one of the blueberry muffins that he had seeme dto become a little to addicted to recently. He paid and picked upt he coffee and muffina nd headed to one of the free tables by the window and slipped down into the chair after putting th emuffina nd coffee down. The coffee tasted good and Austin drank half the cup in a few mintues it was true emerald defiantly had the best coffee around, he'd gotten cuaght up in looking out the window that he ahdn't ntoiced someone walk over to were he was sat until he turned hsi head and his bright blue eyes came to rest on them.

( WHO SAYS I CAN'T BE SINGLE ) and have to go out and mingle, baby college applications. they were scattered across korinne's desk, waiting to be completed. the few that were already done sat in a neat pile in the top right hand drawer of the desk. they were all in alphabetical order, paper clipped and disgustingly organized. now, if you were to tell that to anyone that really knew korinne, they'd probably laugh in your face. disgustingly organized? kory? no way. well, maybe not with the rest of her things, but she knew how important her college applications were, so she made sure to take care of them. unfortunately for her, when she had gotten up, taken her shower and gotten straight to work on them, it had slipped her mind how exhausting they were when one didn't have breakfast, or, in kory's case, caffeine. it was quite contradictory; she hated energy drinks, but she loved everything else that was loaded with caffeine, diet soda, coffee, tea. starbucks was her best friend, most of the baristas that worked there knew her by name already. she didn't find it weird at all.
her thoughts of coffee had her distracted, and she surely couldn't fill out college applications while she was distracted now, could she? of course not. she would just have to go out and get some coffee, and maybe a croissant while she was at it. okay, that was a lie. she didn't have to go out and get coffee, she could have made a pot right downstairs. come to think of it, her mom probably already had a pot of fresh coffee going, but she really needed to clear her head. college applications really made someone want to ram their head into a wall after a little bit. it was only, she glanced at the clock, nine-thirty. how long had she been awake? not that it mattered, though. it was late enough in the morning that places would be open where she could get a decent mug of coffee. in one fluid movement, korinne's closet was open, and her coat was on. she passed by her sneakers in deliberation. sneakers or uggs? they were both equally comfortable, but the uggs were warmer, so she slid her feet into the boots, making sure her jeans remained tucked into the wool. a quick glance at herself in the mirror assured her that she was ready to go.
as soon as she opened her bedroom door, she had known that her mom was still home. usually, she would have left for work already. hey mom, she called. i'm gonna head over to the café. want me to bring anything back? no, thanks, hon. i'm just about to leave, as if on cue, mrs brockdale came out of the kitchen, work attire on, bright smile on her face. kory smiled at her mother and opened the door for her. they both reached their respective cars at just about the same time, and waved to each other as they departed from the driveway. the café wasn't very far, and korinne didn't even get a chance to get through one song before she was pulling up in the parking lot. the brisk air bit at the tip of her nose as she got out of her car and entered the café, where the warmth was a nice contrast. quietly, she ordered herself a cup of coffee and a croissant. scanning the café for anyone that looked familiar, kory smiled when she saw austin sitting at a table. she paid for her order and carefully cradled the mug of coffee in one hand, holding the croissant in the other. she was careful coming up to the table, not wanting to be noticed. he seemed in a daze, anyway. it was hard to suppress her grin as she sat down across from him, propping her chin up in the palm of her left hand. it took him a second to notice she was there, but when he looked at her, she giggled. hey, stranger. how's it goin'? to be honest, she was pretty happy she had run into austin. not only would she not have to go straight back home to those awaiting applications, but she could sit and talk to someone. austin and korinne had a.. well.. a different kind of friendship. sure, they were great friends, they went out, went to parties, hung out, joked around, and sometimes hooked up on the side. it wasn't anything serious, and they both knew that, but when a little too much alcohol entered people's systems, their inhibitions seemed to go out the window, and austin and kory were no exception to the rule. it never really got awkward between them, though, and she was thankful for that. she enjoyed austin's company, and it would really suck if their friendship became awkward. status finit tags austin drage word count 796 w/o codes outfit cah-licklyrics la la land - demi lovato notes *pops in* hai there :][/blockquote]

··I'M MOMENTS FROM LANDING AND SHAKING LIKE A HEART ATTACK··
,, I'VE MADE MISTAKES IN THE PAST ; CAN'T TAKE IT BACK, WISH I COULD SET THINGS RIGHT TONIGHT
Really Austin didn't get why anyone would bother to text another person so early in the morning and expect to get a ncie reply back. It was saturday mornign and as susual Austin had partied the night before so waking up early with a hang over to go with it wasn't his ideal saturday morning especially when his friend didn't take the hitn after ringing him three times and sending text mesages that he jsut was not interested in whatever it was he was wanting to tell him. In the end Austin knew he wasn't going to have much of a cvhocie but to actually get out, even if he had hsi head buried into his pillow it was obvious that he wasn't going to get to fall back asleep now. He groaned into the pillow on of hsi hands passing through his messy blonde hair as he finalyl foudn the enegry to get himself to sit up and push the sheets away from him. At least he was now making an attemt to get up even if it was taking him twice the amount of time to do anything then it normally would, but that wasn't th epoint the point was that he was getting up at least two hours before he normally would on a Saturday morning. Normally Austin was pretty organized when ti came to finding things to do with his day and planning to meet up with friends, but because of the partyy last night he'd not really bothered and he frowned slightly as he tried to think of what he was going to do as he stumbled into his bathroom to take a shower.
The shower kind of helped Austin to wake up alittle more, though his eyes didn't liek the sudden light flooding into his room when the curtains were drawn back. he glanced outside for a moment taking in how bright it was outside, it looked pretty warm as well, so at least he wasn't going to miss out on the good weather now. trying to figure otu something to do with his day that was the problem that Austin was now faced with, he didn't really want to call anyone, mainly because most of his friends had been at the party last night and would have major hangovers and moan at him saying they didn't want to go out, so there was no point in that and he personally didn't really want to sit around the house all day waitng for the next party tonight to start up. Austin sighed slightly to himself as he pulled the door open to his wardrobe and went through the clean clothes that were in there until he found some jeans and a shirt to wear. Mainly because he was to tired Austin didn't really do anything with his hair and because he knew it would probably dry pretty straight anyways, so he just pushed it slightly out his face and messed the back up a little.
Finally he got round to texting his friend back and was hoping that they would take his hit and never text or call him before ten on a saturday ever again. Breakfast that managed to cheer Austin up al ittle when he saw that his favorite cereal hadn't been eaten yet. With a bowl of those in hand Austin flicked through a rather dull magazine and was starting to clock watch and like they said time started to pass even slower. His parents were gone again whcihw as good for Austin no questioning him when he comes home at some early hour or whot he person is that has come home with him, nope he gets free reign over the house. A frown puleld at the edges of Austin's lisp when he finsihed the bowl of cereals but he shrugged his shoudlers slightyl and got up and put the bowl int he dishwaser, but never ahd learnt how to work the thign so jsut left it like that, before turning and wadnering into the living room, hoping that the tv would at least be able to entertain him.
It was good for awhile, the tv managed to keep Austin's attention for an hour or more Spongebob square pants managed to keep his attention for an hour, but when they started repeating episodes and they became les and less funny Austin soon got bored and flicked the tv off. As he sat there it came to him that he hadn't actually had his caffiene fix yet, which was pretty bad seeming as he pretty much lived on coffee and anything else that contained any amount of caffiene in it. He was betting that someone he knew woudl at least be aroudn the Emerald cafe after all it was pretty mcuh the best place in Dresden to actually get coffee and now jsut thinkign about it Austin knew eh was goign to have to go, him without coffee was never a great thing. Pullign himself up from the couch, Austin moved out into the hallway, before having to go back to his rooma nd retirve his wallet. As he walked backdown to the hallway, Austin checked he had what he needed and grabbed his car keys from the table and headed out. His hand reached out and pressed the stereo on, once he was sat in his car.
He turned it right up before pulling out of the drive way and heading to Emerald cafe. Austin git frustrated with the traffic that seemed to jsut be everywhere, and it took him a little longer than usual to actually get to the cafe but he managed to find a free space. Standing on the pavement, hsi bright blue eyes wandered for a moment as he started walking toward the cafe. He was glad that he was out of the house now it wasn't exactly his idea of fun sitting watching cartoons all day. Austin held the door for the people that wetre elaving before he stepped inside, his blue eyes wandering around the familiar cafe as he walked to the counter smiling warmly at the girl behind it. He placed his order and lent slightly on the coutner as he waited, it was pretty empty and he was a little gutted that no one he knew was actually there. Grabbing his order, Austin headed to one of the tables byt he window so that he would at least be able to do soem people watching to pass the time.
Austin yawned slightly before drinkign some of hsi coffee and getting alittle lost in looking out the window, so lost that he hadn't really ntoiced anyoen else walk into the cafe let alone walk right up to his table and sit across from him. though when he looekd across and saw Kory there a bright smile imediately played with his lips as he alughed slightly at how dumb he had probably looked for a moment then. "Hello prettyful" He said the smile still on his lips, "it is going okay i guess just trying to pass the time, how about you?" Of all the people that coudl have turned up Austinw oudl ahve said Kory would have probably easily been on the top of his, sure they didn't have a conventional friendship but those were the boring kind, there was a little more well if you added alcoholt o it then they coudl be a little more than jsut friendly but it had never gotten awkward for them which Austin was happy about, seeming as Kory was always guranteed to amek him smiel and mess aroudn with him.

( WHO SAYS I CAN'T BE SINGLE ) and have to go out and mingle, baby café's had always managed to put kory at ease. they were all, at least the ones she had been to, very comfortable, with a warm atmosphere. she loved going to a place where she could just sit by the window with her legs curled under her and sip at a mug of coffee, completely relaxed. she was strong in her belief that everyone needed to unwind once in a while, some more often than others, of course. she recognized that, and let herself unwind quite often. actually, she found it quite beneficial, since, in doing so, she rarely got irritated or snapped at anyone. now, only if others could learn from example and chill the hell out once in a while, the world would be a whole lot calmer. one thing that kory could just not stand was when people were far too uptight, simply because they never allowed themselves to relax. one day she was just going to grab someone, shake them, sit them down on a nice tempurpedic mattress, give them a huge bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and make them watch the sweetest thing. it was just what a lot of people needed, in her opinion.
she knew it was just what she needed, after getting up at seven-thirty to start on her college applications. she really wanted to stay an extra twenty-five minutes in the shower, but she knew if she had allowed herself to do that, she would probably fall asleep in the shower, and that wouldn't have ended well. so, begrudingly, she had dragged herself out of the shower, blowdried her hair and gotten changed. she didn't even feel like doing her hair, which was why an off white hat sat slouched atop her head. her hair just fell in tight waves around her shoulders, and she didn't do anything to try and change that. who really cared what her hair looked like, anyway? it's not like it was greasy or anything, so it didn't bother her in the least. she didn't even take that long to pick out her outfit; it had taken her about three minutes to decide on her oversized sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. usually, if kory had known she was going to go out, she would have stood in front of her closet and deliberated. to be perfectly honest, she was just too damn tired. so what if it looked like she had just stolen a boyfriend's shirt and hat and walked out of the house? like she had a boyfriend, anyway. no, the clothes were very much her own, and she was very comfortable in them.
sitting across from austin, she shifted to sit cross-legged. he turned to look at her and smiled. hello prettyful. she had to chuckle slightly at that. prettyful? that was a new one. she expected it, though. shrugging out of her coat, kory set it on the back of her chair. it's going okay i guess, just trying to pass time. how about you? i wish i was just trying to pass the time, she rolled her eyes, pouring some sugar and creamer into her coffee. college applications swamped me, i needed to get out of the house. blowing on her coffee gently, she brought it to her lips, taking a careful sip. the last thing she needed was to burn her mouth. a little early to be trying to pass the time, don't chya think? it was true, it was a little early, even for her. on a typical day, she would still be in bed, stretching her arms over her head and complaining that there weren't enough hours in the day to get everything done and get a decent amount of sleep. but, y'know, y'can't win 'em all. alarm clock go off early or somethin'? she knew the feeling well. the heat radiating from the mug began to seep through her skin, warming her entire body. she one thing she could definitely live without in kansas was the cold. it was downright brutal sometimes, but the coffee mug offered some temporary relief from the chill. although, after holding it for a bit, it started to burn. so, being the sensible person she was, she put it down on the coaster and picked up her croissant, breaking a small piece of the end off. many people questioned kory on how she could eat her rolls and such without butter. truthfully, she could take it that way or leave it. most of the time she just preferred to eat things plain; bagels without cream cheese, rolls without butter, biscuits without gravy, it wasn't really something that she found absolutely necessary. idly, she chewed at the end of the croissant, pushing the sleeves of her sweater up to the middle of her forearms. she could probably fall asleep in the clothes she was in if the chairs were a little more comfortable. that was one of the things that she liked about starbucks so much; they had couches in addition to their chairs. kory couldn't recall all of the times that she had driven to starbucks with her laptop to do research for a paper over a venti chai tea. sure, her house was very relaxing, and, for the majority of the day, it was empty. but sometimes she just needed to get out of the house. kind of like today. status doneeee tags austin drage word count 899 w/o codes outfit cah-licklyrics la la land - demi lovato notes i really want a coffee and a croissant now D:[/blockquote]
